1.0 Charges

1.1 We operate on a fixed fee basis. We will always provide you with a quote before we commence your work to allow you to make an informed investment decision. We do not operate on an hourly basis as we believe this encourages inefficiency and is an unfair pricing model for clients.

1.2 Our policy is to ensure that the same accountant who last worked on your matters continues to do so for future engagements to ensure familiarity and to gain efficiencies wherever possible. However, if we are prevented from doing so, we will ensure that an employee of equal skills and experience continues with your engagement.

1.3 Our estimation of fees are based upon our experience with work that is of a similar nature. If our estimation proves false (based upon new information becoming available that we did not have at the time of the quote), we will always provide you with a revised estimate of fees to ensure you never receive a fee larger than expected.

1.4 We will always notify you if our fee estimate is inclusive or exclusive of GST.

1.5 We will pass on to you any expense we incur on your behalf. We will always break these costs down for you on our invoice for your attention.

1.6 Roberts & Cowling is registered for GST and as such will always charge GST on its invoices.

2.0 Invoicing Procedure

2.2 We may ask for a deposit in advance for multiple reasons. If it is our first assignment for you it may be to ensure that your business is of good financial standing. Further, it may be to cover any expenses that are expected of the assignment.

2.3 We reserve the right to discontinue working on your matters should overdue accounts remain unpaid. At the time we discontinue we shall provide notice of our intentions. You will still be required to pay for all work performed up to the time we discontinue.
