ATO Change Program

The ATO has undertaken the largest system overhaul in its history recently and we would like to alert our clients to some of the changes.

Firstly, due to the complete overhaul of their computer system, their have been significant delays in clients receiving their Notice of Assessments and refunds. At the time of writing (23/04) these delays were ongoing.

The ATO have had issues with their computer system in the last few weeks. Notice of Assessments were released without containing refund cheques for taxpayers. They are in the process of correcting this issue and have assured all Tax Agents that all missing refund cheques will be issued shortly.

Other items you will notice:

  •  Your notice of assessment looks significantly different. An example of the new look assessment can be found here.
  • Other correspondence and statements of account will look significantly different.
  • There will be some minor changes noticed by ATO Business Portal users.
