Ben Roberts - Director
Ben started the practice with David bringing a degree in Business from QUT majoring in International Business, Human Resource Management and Management. Ben has since completed a Masters in accounting. Ben is also a member of the Australian Institute of Management and continues to attend seminars to keep abreast of developments in the management realm.
Ben is responsible for the fringe benefit tax compliance of Roberts & Cowling clients. He also has an interest in business structuring. Outside of the accounting area of Roberts & Cowling he manages the bookkeeping arm.
Ben gains satisfaction from managing all aspects of Roberts & Cowling. He enjoys watching a client grow and facing more complex issues that he assists with as they expand and internally watching a staff member gain extra knowledge and grow with the firm.
Outside of Roberts & Cowling Ben is quite the sport fanatic. Basketball would probably top the list however there aren't many sports that Ben doesn't follow. He also enjoys the adrenalin rush particularly from scuba diving and bungee jumping as just two examples. Apart from sport Ben enjoys live music and can be often found at concerts and enjoying the local music scene around Brisbane.

David Cowling- Director
As a Director of Roberts & Cowling, David is responsible for the accounting and tax clientele. David is also involved in the mortgage broking aspect of the business.
David brings to the team a wealth of experience with seven years in the accounting/ tax industry, working for a number of accounting practices in Brisbane. David has completed his Bachelor of Business- majoring in professional accounting. David is currently studying for his Chartered Accounting designation. He is a member of the National Institute of Accountants and also a Fellow of the National Tax & Accountants Association.
David particularly enjoys providing real solutions to clients- whether this is a significant saving of tax or just a great idea for their business. He takes pride in watching the solution develop and ensuring the outcome is achieved.
On a personal level, David enjoys scuba diving, touch football and beach cricket. He is a budding aquarist and enjoys the challenge of maintaining a large fish tank. David enjoys movies. His favourites include: The Matrix, The Departed and Kill Bill.

Nikki Hyde- Practice Manager
As the Practice Manager at Roberts & Cowling, Nikki is responsible for ensuring all client work is done efficiently and within clients expected timeframes.
Nikki has been with Roberts & Cowling for over 5 years and has a wealth of experience with clients and all bookkeeping related matters.
Nikki is currently studying her Diploma of Accounting.
She thoroughly enjoys working in an environment that encourages her to learn and develop her skills as a bookkeeper and more recently, as Practice Manager.
Nikki enjoys going to the speedway, playing netball and enjoying a nice glass of wine.

Max Hartl - Accountant
Max commenced employment at Roberts & Cowling in December 2007. Max works closely with our Gold Coast clientele. He has completed his undergraduate degree in Business at Griffith University.
His duties include data entry through to preparation of DRAFT financials and income tax returns.
Max enjoys travelling and spending time with friends.
